Her work is a balance between the raw nature of clay and a refined aesthetic with a minimalist elegance.
She showed at local galleries, studios and annually her work was selected by the Japanese Society.

Influenced by Paul Chaelff, Stephen De Staebler, Peter Voulkos , Isamu Noguchi and many others, Risa's work is a profound

and patient talent to achieve art that stays with you and
draws and emotional response.

Risa would enjoy you looking at her art,  feeling the joy she had creating the art.  From   porcelain pieces paying Homage to Matisse to the fragile 

fired Roku pieces in an outdoor Kiln and the glazed stoneware "plates".,
